Known as “The Abnormal Beauty Company”, DECIEM is the parent company of The Ordinary, NIOD, and other beauty brands & is an industry disruptor with a science first approach to innovation. DECIEM was Co-Founded in 2013 by the late Brandon Truaxe, a visionary who set out to change the beauty industry through authenticity and transparency. He developed DECIEM to be a happy family (of people and beauty brands), rooted in kindness, creativity, diversity, and respect, alongside Co-Founder and CEO, Nicola Kilner.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Culture & Community Manager - Global who will spearhead the development and execution of our influencer strategy worldwide, while also informing influencer and culturally driven strategies regionally to ensure alignment across various subcultures, including nurturing our existing affiliates. The goal is to amplify our presence in areas where we're currently not engaging within non-beauty-related verticals.

This is a hybrid role based out of our London office.

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • Identify and engage with key influencers and tastemakers to foster and cultivate community conversations
  • Facilitate organic word-of-mouth recommendations through a strategic community communication plan
  • Deploy tactics that will generate buzz outside of our New Product Development (NPD) and Brand calendars
  • Develop and execute a strategy to create demand for our products
  • Establish a global culture calendar to align product gifting and unconventional partnerships
  • Provide monthly reports on the culture and community strategy, detailing activities, outreach efforts, and the status of relationships with influencers
  • Conduct research to identify influential platforms for seeding that extend beyond the beauty sector
  • Execute initiatives to enhance our reach, visibility and brand reputation
  • Implement community event strategies to foster engagement
  • Supervise and guide regional product seeding platforms, continually adapting approaches to stay current with cultural trends
  • Lead brainstorming sessions on a global scale to drive business growth

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • Deep immersion in culture with a penchant for engaging with diverse communities (at store openings, music events, community events etc.)
  • Open-minded and inclusive, relishes the idea of communicating with audiences of all backgrounds, gender, and personal style
  • Skilled relationship builder, capable of forging enduring personal connections
  • Experience developing strategies, managing budgets and planning and executing events
  • Proficiency in all major social media platforms, understanding capabilities, and evolving trends
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, the the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
