WHAT ON EARTH IS DECIEM?

Known as “The Abnormal Beauty Company”, DECIEM is the parent company of The Ordinary, NIOD, and other beauty brands & is an industry disruptor with a science first approach to innovation. DECIEM was Co-Founded in 2013 by the late Brandon Truaxe, a visionary who set out to change the beauty industry through authenticity and transparency. He developed DECIEM to be a happy family (of people and beauty brands), rooted in kindness, creativity, diversity, and respect, alongside Co-Founder and CEO, Nicola Kilner.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a seasoned London-based brand builder who is passionate about supporting the growth of both DECIEM and NIOD. Reporting into the global Head of Brand Narrative for DECIEM, the Senior Brand Manager (NIOD) will be comfortable managing end-to-end global campaigns such as brand voice and seasonal moments, while also developing NIOD into a science-tech powerhouse brand.

The ideal candidate will have previous work experience in start-up and scale-up corporations, knowing how to navigate complex corporate processes and teams where required, while knowing how to also drive smaller teams and projects with agility and speed. They will possess a strong creative flair, paying attention to detail and craft, while operating as a self-starter.

This is a hybrid role based out of our London office.

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • Confidently own the go-to-market management of integrated brand campaigns from end to end.
  • Build and present strong briefs to creative and downstream teams, grounded in a seasoned understanding of 360 stakeholders + business objectives. Continually gauge competitive landscape, providing clear, relevant and insightful recommendations to ensure DECIEM and NIOD remain best-in-class while playing in each brand’s unique space.
  • Foster pivotal relationships with cross-functional teams, including Digital, Retail, Regional Brand Leads, Scientific and Senior Leadership, to introduce campaigns, strategize plans, track progress and analyze results.
  • Produce well-designed decks such as ‘toolkits’ to deliver all campaign assets and plans in an organized matter to be used by team members across the world.
  • Think innovatively and strategically, unafraid to upend a typical campaign architecture to create campaigns that will bring brand moments to life.
  • Analyze campaign results to provide short and long term strategic recommendations, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver nuances and sophisticated insights and a clear path post-campaign
  • Comfortably manage all parts of briefing, skillfully feedbacking, and managing development of creative assets with the creative team. This includes submitting detailed briefs for assets needs including video, educational graphics and paid digital, ensuring that what is created is efficient, impactful, and relevant to channels.
  • Work closely with the internal Design team to bring to life creative concepts which generate interest while respecting the brand’s identity and tone of voice.
  • Act as a lighthouse of inspiration for the brand across all stakeholders, working to foster interdepartmental buy-in and unlock new insights, while persevering the brand vision as an unwavering brand guardian.
  • With the support of the Global Brand Director and Global Head of Brand Narrative, own the NIOD brand calendar to ensure ongoing visibility for cross-functional teams and planning.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • 5+ years experience in a brand management or equivalent role is essential, ideally with a global brand in beauty or CPG
  • In-depth understanding of and interest in the beauty and technology industry with extensive knowledge of emerging trends occurring in other industries such as technology
  • Proven delivery of successfully integrated, omnichannel brand campaigns is essential
  • Strong ability to manage projects, including timeline tracking, stakeholder engagement and problem solving
  • Exceed at relationship development and management of individuals in diverse departments and at varying levels of seniority
  • Ability to write a strategically-sound campaign brief from a blank page
  • Confident public speaker and presenter of ideas in both large and small, casual and formal settings
