WHAT ON EARTH IS DECIEM?
Known as “The Abnormal Beauty Company”, DECIEM is the parent company of The Ordinary, NIOD, and other beauty brands & is an industry disruptor with a science-first approach to innovation. DECIEM was Co-Founded in 2013 by the late Brandon Truaxe, a visionary who set out to change the beauty industry through authenticity and transparency. He developed DECIEM to be a happy family (of people and beauty brands), rooted in kindness, creativity, diversity, and respect, alongside Co-Founder and CEO, Nicola Kilner.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Social Media Videographer with a fantastic creative instinct and passion for content creation.
This is a hybrid position, based out of our head office in Toronto.
WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
- Responsible for creating, shooting, and editing elevated video content for social media across all channels and brands of the company optimized for social media platforms
- (Instagram, YouTube (long-form + short-form), TikTok, Meta, etc)
- Input music, dialogues, graphics, effects, insert closed captioning, graphics, or other on-screen text into a video
- Support the Associate Manager with graphic design content creation
- Collaborate with and support the Social Media Manager on campaign-related and evergreen projects, ideation and concepts
- Help to develop and maintain our social media content calendar
- Be a supportive member to the social creative team and contribute to ongoing team support
- Stay up to date with DECIEM’s product knowledge, company information, launches and campaigns
- Assist in managing community management accounts within (but not limited to) Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok
- Engage, maintain, and develop professional relations with customers and Maintain/administer the brand voice throughout all communications
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro; Photoshop, After Effects. Blender knowledge is a bonus
- Proficient in any editing, motion, graphic design software to create organic social media content (Final Cut Pro, Premier Pro, VN, Capcut, Canva etc).
- Experience creating Social media content for Beauty, Skincare or Tech brands is a plus.
- Proficiency with all video equipment, including but not limited to DSLRs, professional film cameras (RED), lighting, microphones and audio equipment. Experience with creating content on mobile is an asset.
- Strong understanding of audio, color, cinematography, video framing approach and theory
