Known as “The Abnormal Beauty Company”, DECIEM is the parent company of The Ordinary, NIOD, Avestan, and other beauty brands, and is an industry disruptor with an innovation-focused approach. It was Co-Founded in 2013 by the late Brandon Truaxe, a visionary who set out to change the beauty industry through authenticity and transparency. He developed the company with creativity and innovation alongside Co-Founder and CEO, Nicola Kilner.

What we are looking for.

We are currently recruiting a Human Resources / Health & Safety Co-ordinator who will manage the reception desk at our amazing head office location and also be a part of the Human Resources / Health & Safety Team and product safety-related activities for the regulatory team.

This role will be based out of our Toronto Head Office.

What you would be doing.

  • Act as the face and central HUB of information for Fraser (Toronto head) office. This includes:
    • Greeting clients and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude
    • Maintaining visitor logs and ensuring health and safety protocols are being followed by team members and visitors
  • Assist with a variety of administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling meetings, coordinating team events, running reports, processing expenses, coordinating packages, organizing product giveaways
  • Responsible for onboarding/orientation for new hires, including welcome emails and welcome gifts
  • Responsible for managing DECIEM’s The Good Stuff perks and benefits
  • Assist HR Business Partners (HRBPs) with offboarding team members including exit interviews, return of company equipment and IT closeup
  • Help organize and participate in Social Committee events
  • Responsible for WSIB/Workers Comp/RTW claims management
  • Responsible for maintaining the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Library for non-production chemicals
  • Responsible for supporting incident reporting for the Fraser site using the EHSQ Management System (Intelex)
  • Responsible for health & safety training coordination and record management at the Head Office, Fraser location

What skills and qualifications do you need?

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with others
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping out with various tasks as required
  • Previous experience with claims management and return to work is an asset
  • Relevant education in Human Resources, Business Administration, OR equivalent work experience is an asset
