Known as “The Abnormal Beauty Company”, DECIEM is the parent company of The Ordinary, NIOD, Avestan, and other beauty brands, and is an industry disruptor with an innovation-focused approach. It was Co-Founded in 2013 by the late Brandon Truaxe, a visionary who set out to change the beauty industry through authenticity and transparency. He developed the company with creativity and innovation alongside Co-Founder and CEO, Nicola Kilner.

What we are looking for.

We are looking for a Head Office Visual Merchandising Manager who has a passion for maintaining relationships and supporting the team.

This role will be based out of our Toronto Head Office.

What you would be doing.

  • Provide support with all merchandising requirements for DECIEM Brands – working closely with regional teams and Global Retail Brand
  • Responsible for defining and implementing a visual merchandising strategy that is compliant with the company and brand requirements
  • Execute and create merchandise guidelines per brand, ensuring brand consistency across all global regions and seamless execution in various channels (stores, counters, retailers)
  • Partner with Head of Retail Brand and Director of Retail to implement global merchandise displays/POG and work closely with the Retail Store Design team to implement new display and merchandising fixtures.
  • Create detailed merchandise guidelines for partnerships & global B&M stores., stay up to date with product knowledge, company information, launches and campaigns and assist with the product launches and special promotions in store (including seasonal)
  • Provide insight and consult on various projects in partnership with Retail Design and Regional Brand teams
  • Liaising with Operations team on product global launches and allocation of inventory to different regions, and Co-ordinate the distribution of necessary materials and visuals to all stores
  • Support retail and store teams to merchandise new store and store-in-store and set up
  • Manage budget and costing as it relates to visual material, support with administrative tasks such as sales reports, store activations, market analysis, inventory forecasting and etc.
  • Communicate with DECIEM stores either in-person or online to identify and address opportunities for DECIEM, ensure DECIEM’s visual merchandising standards are maintained according to the official merchandising guideline

What skills and qualifications do you need?

  • Proficiency with development of planograms, Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular), Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills., excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task a must
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, managing conflicting priorities and tight deadlines
  • 2 + years of people management and/or leadership experience is required
  • Relevant education OR equivalent work experience in Visual Merchandising is an asset
