Known as “The Abnormal Beauty Company”, DECIEM is the parent company of The Ordinary, NIOD, and other beauty brands & is an industry disruptor with a science first approach to innovation. DECIEM was Co-Founded in 2013 by the late Brandon Truaxe, a visionary who set out to change the beauty industry through authenticity and transparency. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a skilled Visual Merchandising Assistant who will specialise in executing creative campaigns seamlessly and maintaining high VM standards across UK and Ireland distribution.

This is a hybrid position based out of our London office.

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • In partnership with the Creative & Visual Merchandising Manager, deliver all regional VM initiatives within
  • our retail partner stores across the UK and Ireland region. Ensuring brand values and global aesthetics are
  • adhered to while remaining locally relevant.
  • Have a strong sense of design composition, and the ability to act quickly to adapt designs from global
  • guidelines to work for regional projects.
  • Ensure highest level of excellence in all creative and executional phases of work, including project
  • management and quality control.
  • Oversee the roll out of new campaigns to our retail partners. Taking ownerships of regional artwork, and
  • briefing suppliers on the production and distribution of new campaign graphics.
  • Resize and create regional assets from Global toolkits for retailer specific or national campaigns.
  • Produce and maintain merchandising guidelines and planograms for retail partners, to ensure best in class
  • visual merchandising displays, optimising navigation and education on all touch points.
  • Manage the ongoing maintenance of permanent displays and graphics in our retail partners. Overseeing the
  • re-allocation of VM tools, briefing suppliers on maintenance required for existing fixtures, tracking
  • deliverables and enforcing project schedules.
  • Work closely with retail contacts to build strong working relationships, gaining a clear understanding of the
  • latest retailer processes, restrictions, and key change over dates.
  • Update key stake holders on progress of merchandising guides and tools, and ensure merchandising
  • standards are communicated to retail staff and store managers, to be upheld at all times.
  • Share a clear and accurate weekly update of all work in progress during team meetings and be an avid
  • participant during review meetings.
  • Consistent monitoring of current brand and lifestyle trends, sharing observations of interesting and impactful
  • campaigns or installations.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • 2 years of relevant design/visual merchandising experience - Beauty experience preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to multi-task and execute several projects simultaneously in a timely and efficient manner, from
  • concept to completion.
  • Self-starter with excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Strong communicator with ability to articulate ideas and concepts both verbally and within written guideline
  • documents and creative proposals.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials, plus an understanding of technical drawings.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and flexibility are a must to thrive and adapt in a dynamic fast paced
  • environment.
  • Collaborative mindset, capable of building strong relationships with retailers, VM field teams and all internal
  • departments.
  • 2D artworking skills and ability to prepare graphics for print is required.
  • Software Skills: Creative Suites (Adobe Illustrator, Indesign & Photoshop) and Sketchup. V-ray is a plus.
  • London based - ability to travel for store visits. UK driving license a bonus.
